Meet Ronny Dahl

This down-to-earth approach is what makes Ronny a trusted voice in the 4WD community and someone we’re proud to have join the Norweld family.
About Ronny Dahl’s Elite Tray
For Ronny’s latest build, he swapped his Toyota LandCruiser 79 Series for an INEOS Grenadier Trailmaster Quartermaster. A bold move yes, but one that reflects his passion for modern, capable 4WDs. While the 79 Series holds legendary status in Australia with its leaf-spring suspension, manual gearbox and reliability, the Grenadier Quartermaster brings a new level of innovation and capability. With coil-spring suspension, permanent 4WD, an automatic transmission and three locking differentials, this rig is designed for serious off-road performance and certainly looks the part too.
To match his Quartermaster, Ronny chose our popular Norweld Elite Tray. The Elite blends a sleek, modern design with Norweld’s trademark durability and functionality. Fully welded construction, a heavy-duty one-piece floor and water and dust-resistant toolboxes with torque hinges on both sides ensure it’s ready for the toughest tracks this country has to offer. The 1200mm trundle drawer with a drop-in table adds extra storage and practicality, giving Ronny quick access to gear when he’s on the road touring.
Deluxe Lite Canopy options
Paired with a Deluxe Lite Canopy, Ronny tested both the full canopy and the half canopy options on his INEOS build to see how they’d both perform. After running the full canopy on remote desert trips fully loaded, it proved itself as a capable long-range touring setup with huge storage and self-sufficient living space. More recently, he opted for the half canopy configuration to reduce weight, length, balance, better handling and access around the vehicle. The change reflects the way the build continues to evolve between a dedicated touring rig and a more versatile setup for tighter, more technical terrain.
