New Ford Ranger Super Duty 2026
The Ford Ranger Super Duty 2026 is in a class of its own.
With serious upgrades to boast about, we’ll start with the standout: an impressive 4,500kg Gross Vehicle Mass – the max you can drive on a standard Australian car licence. It also features a hefty 8,000kg Gross Combined Mass, increased ground clearance and extensive underbody protection
This friends, is not your average factory ute.
It also offers a braked-towing capacity of 4,500kg which puts it in the same playing field as the full-sized F-150.
Ford has strengthened it where it counts to deliver class-leading towing and hauling. With a heavy-duty chassis, new suspension, upgraded axles, and thicker driveshafts, Ranger Super Duty is built to handle heavy loads and tough jobs.
The usual 5-6 wheel lugs are gone and replaced with standard 8 wheel lugs to support the 33 inch General Grabber All-Terrain tyres that come standard.
Ford really have thought of everything. There are built-in rear scales to help track your payload so you stay in control, a smart hitch feature calculates the tongue weight of a trailer as you hook in place and a heavy-duty steel bumper has been designed to handle rough terrain and steep tracks, while the fully sealed snorkle maximises airflow – and up front, the new bespoke mesh grille sure looks the part.
Ford have clearly focused on building a ute that is spec ready for its fleet customers, but with a 130L long range fuel tank this rig is more than ready for serious off-road touring too.
Essentially, the Ford Ranger Super Duty comes with upgrades you’d typically add later on through aftermarket fitments but now they come standard. Ford have yet to announce the price of the new Ford Ranger Super Duty but will enter the market in 2026, first in cab-chassis, followed by the Double Cab Pick Up.Designed for heavy-duty work and serious touring adventures, the new Ford Ranger Super Duty brings capability that has never before been seen on a standard factory ute.
Whether you’re planning a touring rig, tradie build or managing fleet operations, Norweld has developed Ford Ranger Super Duty Trays to match the scale and strength of this highly anticipated vehicle.
