ROPS TRAY FAQ’S

Does the ROPS Tray affect my vehicle’s ANCAP safety rating?

No. The Norweld ROPS Tray is a fully bolt-on system requiring no modifications to your vehicle’s structure, meaning your ANCAP rating remains intact.

Is the ROPS Tray certified?

Sure is. Our ROPS Tray integrates a rollover protection system designed and tested to comply with VSB14 and NCOP guidelines. Each tray comes with a placard confirming its compliance as well.

How is the ROPS Tray mounted to the chassis?

Like all our ute trays, the ROPS Tray is securely mounted using a bolt-on system. No cutting, welding or permanent modifications to the cab chassis are required.

Can I transfer a Norweld ROPS Tray to another vehicle?

Short answer, it depends on the vehicle. Norweld trays mount to your vehicle using our exclusive mounting system, so if your new ute’s the same model and size, you’re usually good to go. Best bet is to give us a call to discuss your options.

What vehicles are compatible with the ROPS Tray?

The Norweld ROPS Tray is available for mid-size utes and LandCruiser cab chassis models in single, extra and dual cab configurations. Contact us for specific vehicle compatibility.

Are the infill panels removable for wiring access?

They are. The ROPS Tray features removable infill panels, making it easy for fit-outs and electrical work without compromising structural integrity.

Can I mount spare tyres to the ROPS headboard?

Yes. The ROPS Tray includes twin headboard tyre mounts for carrying spares.

Can I fit a canopy with a ROPS Tray?

Absolutely! The ROPS Tray headboard is designed to work with our full range of Norweld canopies. It’s a single headboard system that integrates seamlessly with our range of canopies. The Tradie canopy range would be more suited for fleet builds and site vehicles.

Is the tray dust and waterproof?

Sure is! It’s what we’re known for! Considered toolbox design with gutter system and double rubber sealed doors ensure dust and water resistant no matter where the job takes you. Combined with our canopy options, you’ll have a completely dust and waterproof storage solution.

Will I need a GVM upgrade with a ROPS Tray?

This depends on your vehicle’s current GVM and how it’s being used on-site. We recommend checking with our team or your vehicle certifier to confirm requirements based on your intended setup.
