As we celebrate ‘Australian Made Week‘, we at Norweld, Australia’s leading manufacturer of premium 4WD trays and canopies, take immense pride in our journey of innovation and collaboration within the automotive industry.

Our recent endeavors have seen us partnering with esteemed automotive accessory fitters and vehicle manufacturers such as Mareeba Mitsubishi, ARB and INEOS. These partnerships have not only allowed us to push the boundaries but have also enabled us to create unique solutions tailored to both fleet and recreational customers, both locally and internationally.

We’re particularly excited about our ability to customise trays and canopies for new and unreleased vehicle models, including the INEOS Quartermaster, Ford F-150 Lightning Australia, Toyota Tundra and Mitsubishi Triton.

One standout achievement that truly embodies our commitment to innovation is our aftermarket fit-up for the revolutionary Ford F-150 Lightning Australia all-electric ute. Through collaborations with GB Auto and AUSEV, we’ve successfully delivered our Deluxe Plus trays in some of the toughest mining conditions, showcasing not only our innovation but also our dedication to sustainability.

Jaime McIntosh, our Managing Director, emphasises our unwavering dedication to delivering world-class products while championing the excellence of Australian manufacturing.

“Our goal is to deliver a world class product, made in Australia, that showcases what local manufacturers are capable of,” Jaime said.

“To do this we must continuously improve and always look to innovate our design, invest in production and collaborate with like-minded businesses. By doing so, we can develop best-in-class solutions for customers and have the opportunity to work on new 4X4 models before they’re released in Australia.”

Business Development Manager at ARB, Beau Sweetman, further reinforces our reputation for premium quality and reliability. “Norweld’s premium products align perfectly with the needs of ARB’s customers which is why we continually trust Norweld for aftermarket tray and canopy fit-outs on all of our new demonstration vehicles,” Beau said.

“We know our customers expect the best quality products, which is why Norweld was the obvious choice for the latest release 2024 Toyota 70 Series, as we needed a premium display vehicle that reflects the expectations of the market.”

To meet the growing demand for our premium offerings, we’ve made substantial investments, including acquiring state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment in Brisbane and Cairns, valued at over $2 million. Additionally, we’ve expanded our workforce by over 50% in the past year, establishing flagship manufacturing and fitting facilities in Brisbane, Perth and Newcastle.
