Meet Jon Riley

When you work at Norweld, you get a front-row seat to the difference quality gear makes, so it comes as no real surprise that our Sydney Business Development Manager, Jon Riley chose to fit his own rig with a Norweld tray and canopy.

Known for his exceptional customer service and product knowledge, Jon comes from a 4WD and RV 12V sales background, so we’re pretty fortunate that he’s brought such a wealth of experience to the Norweld team. But Jon’s also got some impressive skills beyond this, having been a chef, working in kitchens across England and Australia.

These days, he loves getting away with family and friends, combining his passion for the outdoors with his love for cooking over the campfire. On a recent Norweld trip to the historic Yerranderie Ghost Town, Jon’s famous Sticky Date Pudding with Butterscotch Sauce, was a big hit around camp. You can check it out here.

About Jon’s Norweld Build

Jon’s 2023 Isuzu D-MAX LSM Dual Cab runs an Elite Tray with a Deluxe Lite Half Canopy, it’s a great setup that gives him the best of both worlds. It’s compact enough to keep usable tray space at the rear (great for throwing in fire wood, straps and MAXTRAX), yet still provides secure, weatherproof storage in the canopy for everyday gear and touring essentials.

Inside the canopy, the passenger side houses a Dometic NRX115 Upright Fridge and a full Redarc On-Site Series wiring package. While the driver’s side is open storage with a bolt-in Medium Shelf up top. The canopy’s also 2-Pac painted to match the vehicles striking Neptune Blue, keeping the whole build looking stylish and well put together.

Dust and water resistant Under Tray Toolboxes with constant torque hinges, a Rear Back Rack, Bolt-on Jerry Can Holder and 25L Water Jerry Can and Norweld’s signature 1200mm Trundle Drawer with Drop-in Table round out this setup, making this build as practical on the job site as it is off-road.
