THE OPPORTUNITY
  
Due to internal promotions, we have an exciting opportunity for a Receptionist to join the Norweld team. Based in our head office in Cairns, the purpose of your role is to undertake general reception and administration duties to support the smooth day-to-day running of the Norweld business. The first point of contact representing Norweld, you will be responsible for greeting, welcoming and directing visitors, and answering, screening and directing all phone and email contact in a friendly and professional manner.
  
Your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure Reception duties are completed in accordance with Norweld standards and procedures (e.g. greeting visitors, take delivery of vehicles, email management, booking freight and handling incoming goods, general mail management, etc.)
  • Book and track freight 
  • Act as the first point of call for maintenance, mailing, shipping, supplies, equipment and errands
  • Send customer follow-up emails
  • Order stationery supplies and keep inventory of stock
  • Check mailbox daily and ensure that all mail correspondence is managed appropriately and received by addressee
  • Undertake light cleaning duties e.g. cleaning the coffee machine and stacking dishwasher
  • Receive keys from customers, label keys, advise related staff of vehicle delivery and take keys to the safe
  • Perform accurate data entry using Salesforce, Jim2 or relevant software as required
  • Work closely with Office Administrators to ensure completion of day-to-day office activities

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Positive, welcoming and friendly attitude 
  • Experience in a similar role is desirable, however, the opportunity could suit a trainee or entry level candidate
  • Understanding of administrative functions and office practices
  • Accuracy and high attention to detail
  • Ability to exercise initiative and discretion
  • Intermediate computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, other Norweld teams and vendor partners
  • Ability to manage a high volume of transactions and balance multiple tasks and interruptions
  • Knowledge of 4×4 makes, models and popular accessories and brands (desirable)
  • Passion for the outdoors, off-roading and camping is a plus!
