We have an exciting opportunity for a Press Brake Operator to join our Cairns team. You will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating the press brake machine. You will maintain a high level of safety, reliability and operational performance to ensure customer satisfaction. You’ll enjoy a great work/life balance with a 4-day week and no weekend work, in a clean environment at competitive, above-Award rates!
Your responsibilities will include:

  • Daily operation of the press machine as part of the production process
  • Setting up and pressing materials to manufacturing specifications
  • Inspecting final product to ensure high quality
  • Identifying and correcting machine malfunctions
  • Interpreting technical drawings for component specifications
  • Ensuring the health and safety of all customers, visitors and team members
  • Undertaking activities in a team environment and meeting safety, time, quality and production targets
  • Identifying, assessing and controlling workplace hazards
  • Maintaining workplace cleanliness and tool and equipment care

The ideal candidate will have:  

  • Experience in a similar role operating a press machine (ideal)
  • Australian Manual Drivers Licence
  • Forklift ticket an advantage
  • Excellent quality of work and time management skills
  • Strong, ongoing commitment to workplace health & safety
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Sound knowledge of 4×4 Makes, Models and popular accessories and brands (desirable)
  • Passion for the outdoors, off-roading and camping is a plus!
